Godefroy de Hagemann
French, 1820-1877

Godefroy de Hagemann was born in Naples and died in Paris.  He studied under Filippo Palizzi.

He exhibited in Nantes in 1861 and at the Salon in Paris.  He continued to exhibit his works in Paris until 1872.  He traveled frequently to Asia.  His paintings were inspired through his travels abroad especially of sites in Cairo.
